Yoga & Meditation

The Yoga and Meditation sessions are conducted in English by Julie, a wonderful and inspiring yoga teacher with many years of experience.

Julie Rona has been teaching yoga for more than 20 years, she has studied with some of the finest teachers in Europe and California. Her passion is helping others remember the love and strength within us and the endless possibilities available when we learn to really listen to our bodies.

When we take the time to give to ourselves and truly listen we raise our frequency we feel connected to others and life around us. We can identify our true nature.  When we float and flow with nature and use our bodies in a loving and nourishing way we realise that we ourselves are freedom, creativity, passion and love itself.  These are not abstract concepts that we need to find..  we ARE  these aspects.  Take the time to reconnect to your self and feel your true potential unwind and flow in front of you ... FLUIR weekend is just that: an opportunity to rid your body and mind of stress factors and recognise your naturally flowing, creative and passionate self. Download flyer

Surfing for all levels

The bay of Tafedna offers great surf for beginners and advanced surfers. There’s a point break and several beach breaks, all sandy and nothing dangerous. On 3 afternoons you can learn to dance the Moroccan waves with Fayçal and his team. You’re provided with a wetsuit, surf board and lots of fun! On the occasional flat day we bring along our Indiana Stand Up Paddles to the beach so you have a go at stand up paddling in the Atlantic.

Food & Beverages

You’re provided with daily breakfast or brunch, a light lunch to take to the beach and dinner prepared by two lovely local ladies; Keltoum and her sister Khadija. The veggies, fruits, olive oil and eggs are sourced from the local farmers and we strive to provide you with fresh, healthy, traditional dishes every day.

We can cater for vegetarians. However non-gluten and vegan can be a challenge for our kitchen staff as they lack the experience and ingredients. Kindly let us know in advance should you have any special dietary.

All meals and drinking water are included in the package. You have the possibility to buy additional water bottles or soft drinks, Nespresso coffee and snack bars and pay them separately upfront.

We don’t serve alcohol, however you are very welcome to bring your own alcohol.

Arrival & Transfer

Essaouira is the closest airport to Tafedna, with just 45 min drive away. Only a few airlines from Belgium, France and the UK fly there. Alternatively you can fly to Marrakech (231 km) or Agadir (137 km) and we will organise a taxi for you. Marrakech has the most connections and the drive to Tafedna is flat and mainly motorway whereas the drive from Agadir to Tafedna is a beautiful slightly curvy coastal road.

Essaouira City/Airport to Tafedna (63 Km):          35 € per way/taxi
Marrakech City/Airport to Tafedna (231 Km):    100 € per way/taxi
Agadir City/Airport to Tafedna (137 Km):           100 € per way/taxi

We will be happy to organise your airport transfer, just let us know your exact arrival time and flight number. The last 3-4 km are gravel road with a little river to drive through. Not all transport companies are willing to drive that section, we therefore recommend you let us organise the transfer for your to be sure you are brought right to the door step of your Villa.

You prefer to travel with the locals and use public transport? The two bus companies SUPRATOURS  and CTM commute daily from Agadir and Marrakech to Essaouira for approx 8-10 €. The last bus leaving from Marrakech is at 7 PM and the one leaving from Agadir at 1.30 PM. The buses are air conditioned, in good condition and mostly punctual.

Check out our page WHY MOROCCO - FAQ to find out which airlines fly to Essaouira, Marrakech & Agadir.

There is no visa needed to enter Morocco. However your passport must be valid for at least 6 months upon arrival. The ID is not sufficient to travel to Morocco.

Morocco is a very peaceful, stable and secure country and the population content. Smile, be open, respect the culture, use your common sense and enjoy meeting the most hospital inhabitants! Morocco is a Muslim country. In the villages and cities it’s recommended to not dress too revealing, on the beach its fine to wear a bikini.

Marrakech is a bustling and fascinating city and well worth a visit! You can easily combine it with your attendance at the Retreat.

You can sign up for the Yoga & Surf Retreat by contacting either Julie or Lisa Please contact Lisa should you have any questions regarding your transfer, your accommodation and Morocco in general.

We look forward to welcoming you in magical Tafedna!
