Out of the whitewater and into the green waves

In the beautiful bay of Tafedna, just one hour south of Essaouira, a week awaits you where you take the next step in your surfing journey. In a small group of a maximum of five people at your level, you’ll learn to move confidently in the water and make the transition from whitewater to your first green waves – without pressure, but with plenty of time and personal coaching.

We spend a lot of time in the water, working step by step on your wave selection, take-off, positioning on the board, and overall technique. This is complemented by surf skate sessions on the stunning rooftop terrace, where you internalise movement patterns on land and refine your surfing mechanics. Thanks to the small group size, you receive individual feedback and can progress at your own pace – creating a learning environment where confidence and fun in the water grow quickly.

Beyond the surf sessions, you develop a deeper understanding of the ocean: reading forecasts, understanding tides, interpreting conditions correctly, and learning how to navigate the lineup safely. This knowledge helps you make better independent decisions in and out of the water long after the retreat, and to shape your own surf sessions with confidence.  Find out more
